From the Wellbeing Portfolio

The Wellbeing Portfolio introduces…The Quiet Lunch 😊

From chatterbox activities to colouring sheets, to ambient, calming music, the Quiet Lunch provides a space for all students to destress and find a more tranquil moment in their possibly loud, busy days.

It runs every Friday lunchtime in Room 103, and students can bring their lunch to eat peacefully.

On the 28th of April, the official launching of The Quiet Lunch was a success, and amongst the laughter, and the gentle music playing in the background, all students were at rest and coloured every design beautifully.

Year 12 students and Year 7 students alike, and year levels in-between, came to the Quiet Lunch, showing just how universal and valid all stress is throughout each year.

We as the Wellbeing portfolio intend to focus on this mental health aspect of the Quiet Lunch. With our wonderful wellbeing staff member, Ms Gray-Smith, as well as the Wellbeing captains (Alina + Pippi), there is support for every student who comes along.

It is not a commitment club, so there is little obligation or stress on students to come to the Quiet Lunch. We ensure that the space and the associations with the space are positive and reassuring.

The Quiet Lunch is a stable and steady place, and every student is more than welcome.
