School Council President

Homes wanted to host ACPS billboards

We are looking for property owners who have prominent street frontage who would be willing to have a billboard temporarily installed to help advertise our 2024 school enrolments.

The billboard would be installed around mid-June and be removed after approximately 6 weeks (or longer if the property owner was willing to host the sign for longer).

The billboards are professionally printed and installed, sponsored by a local real estate agent, and come at no cost to the school so we’d like to see them in as many locations as possible.

We will be installing one at the council-approved location on the oval opposite IGA but this is the only local location we can use without help from our school community.

Please contact me at james.harris2@education.vic.gov.au if you (or someone you know) would be willing to have a billboard installed or if you would like more details on the installation or the billboard itself.

Manningham Division cross country

On Tuesday, some of our students travelled to the Yarra Glen Racecourse to run in the Manningham Division cross country.

Although the track was muddy and slippery, and the sky cloudy and grey, the rain held off and the races took place without incident (though there were a few slips and minor falls).

The first 12 runners qualified for the Eastern Metropolitan Region competition to be held at Yarra Glen next Tuesday.

We had 4 top-12 finishers - Molly in 4th place in the 11y girls, Gracie 3rd and Anna 5th in the 9/10y girls and Ike 5th in the 9/10y boys.

Congratulations to everyone who competed - you showed great grit and determination to run in some tough conditions - and good luck next week for those who made it through to the next round.
