Junior School AFL Clinic

The Junior School students have been lucky to have coaches come straight from the AFL to teach them some footy skills!  We have had a lot of fun learning how to handball, kick and mark the footy.  The Junior School AFL Clinic will continue next week, providing our flourishing students with three weeks of AFL practice.

Interschool Sport Winter Gala Day #1

With the weather slowly turning, we have put down the tennis racquets and cricket bats and put on our football (all codes) boots and netball bibs.  Friday saw CHPS compete against other local schools across six sports, out in the sunshine.  Well done to all the students at CHPS who competed with sportsmanship and fairness and had a whole lot of fun too!  Thank you to the parent helpers and staff who generously gave their time to help. The next Gala Day is Thursday 13th July.  If you wish to help at the next Sports Gala Days, please email robert.lewis@education.vic.gov.au

Our Very Own Golfing Great

Olivia from SKF continues to make great strides in her promising golfing career.  Last weekend she played in the Golf Australia Rookies event at Edithvale, where she won the U12 Girls with a 2 over par gross score of 33 for 9 holes.

She also claimed the 2024 Eastern Golf Club Women's President's Cup, a great weekend's effort!  Well done, Olivia!

From Sophie in the Sick Bay

Our medical experts are strongly recommending that all children receive a Flu vaccination now.  There is currently a great deal of flu in the community and evidence suggests that children are being affected much more severely than adults.  If your child is yet to be vaccinated, I would encourage you to check with your doctor or visit one of the local pharmacies who are also providing vaccinations.

As always, please keep your child/ren home if they are unwell and help prevent the spread of germs in our classrooms.
