Reconciliation Week
What a privilege it is to have been involved in Reconciliation Week. Please check out our Wellbeing and Culture page to see more. Thanks to all of those students who decorated leaves this week. These will be displayed at Realm at Eastland.
Role modelling - Safety
As significant adults in the lives of students, we all have a part to play in modelling what we expect. We know that children watch and mirror more than they listen.
It has been brought to our attention that before and after school, parents and carers are increasingly crossing the road where they exit their cars, as opposed to walking to the school crossing and being safely escorted by our Crossing Supervisors. Unfortunately, students are now following suit by running across Campaspe Drive to parents/carers who are waiting in cars.
As you can appreciate, this is a very dangerous practice. Please ensure that you and your children always cross at the crossing before and after school. Please make use of the drop-off zone before school as well.
Juvenile Diabetes Day Today
Some of the 134,000 Australians currently living with Type 1 Diabetes attend our school. Click here to learn about the research being done in this space. Thank you to all families, students, and staff who continue to support our brave students living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Farewell Smile Squad
Smile Squad have now completed their consultations and will be back in 6 months to provide fluoride treatments for students who had them this time.
Uniform support
We pride ourselves on all children being in full school uniform every day. In these current times, if you are finding it difficult to fund school uniform items, please contact me for support Julie.reid2@education.vic.gov.au.
Curriculum Day – Tomorrow – 2nd June
A reminder that tomorrow is a student-free day. Enjoy the long weekend with your children.
Until next time,
Julie Reid - On behalf of the Assistant Principal Team
