From the Principal Team

Our Prep students are writing!

Our Prep students proudly showed off the progress they are making with their writing this week as they wrote about the adventures of "Clever Max".  Along with their teachers, we were so impressed by the growth in their skills during the first two terms.

Working Bee - THIS SUNDAY

The forecast is fine for this Sunday's Working Bee so we hope to see as many of you here as possible. Although it runs from 9am to 12 pm, we are very grateful if you can just spare an hour in that time. You can even choose your preferred task by taking a look at what is available at this link and signing up.

We do have limited tools and equipment so it would be great if you could bring what you need along with you.

SUSTAINABILITY DRESS-UP DAY

We are delighted that our Sustainability Leaders came to see me this week with a plan to revitalise our chicken coop. Hopefully the gold coin donation from our dress-up day on Friday 9th March will help towards ensuring we have an appropriate home for our chickens of the future. We also can't wait to see the outfits our students will be wearing to reflect our passion for a natural world.

Our Community. Our Future - Thursday 15th June

Our second presentation of our Parent Information Evening is coming up, so we hope to see you if you were unable to make the first evening.

From 7pm we will have five 15 minute presentations (with a short break for tea and coffee) to keep you abreast of our priorities as we move forward.

OUR VISION - The 2022 School Review celebrated the strengths of Beaumaris Primary and provided clear direction for our future steps. We will discuss recent and upcoming initiatives as we respond to the review.

TEACHING and LEARNING - Our Education Sub-Committee is developing a renewed approach to connecting our parent community with what is happening in our classrooms.

If a school has a strong partnership with parents, the child's potential success is maximised. We will discuss how future opportunities will provide you with a deeper understanding of how your child is learning.

LEARNER AGENCY -  We give our students a voice in so many ways, but most importantly young people should have a voice in the the way they learn. This gives them ownership, engagement, identity and a sense of being valued. As we are all part of a learning community, we invite you to learn how this is becoming part of everyday classroom practice.

OUR COMMUNITY - We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of parents who support the school in so many ways. After two years of lockdowns many schools have lost some of that sense of community and are rebuilding...as are we. Learn how you can be a part of this.

FUNDING OUR FUTURE - The complexities of a school's finances will be presented with a clear approach which highlights the challenges in ensuring we are providing an outstanding educational setting for your children.
