Junior School news

Thank you Junior School families for supporting your daughter in what has been a challenging year. 

The year 7 Student Managers, Philip Hull and Petra Witt and the Year 8 Student Managers, Steve Williams and Chloe Delahenty, have done a wonderful job nurturing and managing the students they have been responsible for. This year the teachers have enjoyed getting to know them at camp, swimming carnival and athletics carnival and in their classes.

We wish the year 8 students success as they move into Middle School and hope we have more consistency next year!

Headstart 

Headstart commences on Monday 22 November (week 8) and runs for three weeks. The following events occur:

• Students will be working in their new classes and timetable for 2022.
• Students will receive a new 2022 diary.
• New lockers will be allocated during Headstart.

We will ask students to start clearing out their lockers and keep only their essential books at school. Students do not need their 2022 textbooks during Headstart. The teachers will provide any resources that are required.

• Year 9 - Philip Hull and Samantha Sleep

Student success - Demah Farhan

Congratulations to Demah Farhan (year 7) on her success in the W.J. Kite writing tournament. Demah's submission 'Slaying the beast' was placed in the top 30 and was read by WJ Kite.  

Best wishes to Demah in the next stage of the competition which is selection for the top 10 shortlist before a final winner is announced in 2022.
