Hi everyone,

Crikey, only three weeks of term left and four till Christmas!! How did that happen??? One thing’s for sure, Christmas will be extra special this year! But…… we are not done yet. There are just a few things happening for PFC to help us wrap up the year.

Book Drive 1-3 December

If you get a chance to clear out all your much loved, good condition books ready for a new delivery from Santa, then we would love to have them for the school classroom libraries. At our last book drive we managed to donate almost 2000 books, which is simply brilliant. You will be able to bring in your books to drop off at the appropriate table in the Community Hub (inside Grounds Cafe) at drop off or pick up on 1,2 and 3 December. Here are the categories:

Picture story books
Graphic novels - e.g. Weirdo, Bad Guys, Dogman etc.
Nonfiction - e.g. Nature books, weather, science, sports
Novels - e.g. Harry Potter
Junior fiction - e.g. Wings of Fire
Others - e.g. cookbooks, how to books, Guinness world records, etc.

We also have a special call out for any books on Indigenous Cultures/First Nations people please.

Welcome Prep 2022 and New Families

With transition well under way PFC will be welcoming the Prep 2022 and new families at an afternoon tea on Tuesday 7 December while their children enjoy their first orientation. We love meeting new families and giving them a warm welcome into our wonderful school community.

Sausage Sizzle Fun Lunch - Friday 17 December

We will see out 2021 with a bang(er) and serve up our ever popular sausage sizzle for the whole school. Look out for the Compass post with details and notification of when QKR opens for orders. As soon as it is, hop on and order straight away as QKR will close on 6 December for end of year administration. If you would like to don your Santa hat or reindeer head gear and join us to ‘sizzle and serve’ then look out for the volunteer sign up sheet in the compass post.

Don’t forget to tune in for our next PFC newsletter as we will be announcing key event dates for 2022. There’s some exciting things happening and we can’t wait to share.
