Important Notices 

Reminder: Absences, Late arrivals and Early Departures

A reminder that all student absences need to be entered in Compass by parents/carers.  If you are experiencing trouble using Compass on your phone, it is best to use the "Open in Browser" option from the drop down menu.  

 

When you know that your child will be coming to school late or leaving early, these are the procedures to follow:

  1. Email the teacher to let them know (in case they are in a specialist subject at the time) - you can email the teacher directly through Compass.
  2. Update Compass with an attendance note.
  3. When arriving at/departing the school, sign your child in or out through the Compass tablet using the QR code.

For unexpected late arrivals or early departures, please sign your child in or out via the Compass tablet at school using the QR code.  

 

Please ensure that you follow Covid-safe protocols when on school premises, including wearing a face mask.  

School Yard Supervision 

Now that we are back onsite parents/carers are reminded of school supervision times. 

 

Our school yard is supervised by yard duty teachers from 8:45 am until 9:00 am. 

Students should arrive at school (or be dropped off) during these times. 

 

Our school yard is unsupervised before that time and students should not arrive at school before 8:45 am. 

If you require before school care please get in touch with Team Kids. Team Kids provide care from 7:00 am until 8:45 am.

After school, our yard is supervised from 3:30 pm until 3:45 pm. Students unable to be picked up by 3:45 pm (or make their own way home) should also be booked in to our TeamKids service.

Returning to Brighton Primary in 2022

Our planning and preparations for school year 2022 are well underway.  We are currently working on class placement based on the information received from the Compass survey: Returning to BPS in 2022.

 

If your situation has changed and your children will be transferring to another school or not transferring to another school any more, then please email our office to let us know ASAP.
