From Principal Steve  - Engaging Events & Activities

As we approach the end of the school year, we look forward to supporting new students in their transition to BPS, students moving up into new grade levels and students who are moving to new schools in the coming weeks.

Our Prep Transition sessions were well received and parents were appreciative of the fact, that despite an interrupted year, we were able to hold these important sessions onsite.  I would like to thank our Prep Team for all their hard work around Transition as well as the PFC for organising the coffee van and extending a warm welcome to our new families.

We pride ourselves at BPS as being an excellent centre of teaching and learning where student learning and wellbeing is at the core of everything we do.  It is our aim to ensure that learning for our students is engaging, motivating and exciting.

French Day has been a fantastic opportunity to engage our students in learning about and celebrating the culture of our new LOTE language.  Our students and staff enjoyed watching the French show, Filipe et Jacques, as well as dressing in the French theme and eating some delicious French treats.  A big thank you to our French teachers, Alfred Calleja and Nunzia Esposito for organising such a fun day to learn more about the French culture.

With our students back onsite after the extended lockdown 6.0, we are grateful to be able to hold some of our events, incursions and excursions that were postponed.  It has been wonderful to see our students participate in sports again, attend events such as a science sustainability workshop and sculpture park excursion and perform in our choir.  Our senior students have health education, bike education and life saving this term and we hope that they learn from and enjoy these important extra activities.
