ITALIAN DAY
IN GRADE 5/6
Benvenuti!
After having to cancel Italian Day earlier this year, we were thrilled to be able to celebrate it last Tuesday. ACPS looked very festive in a sea of red, white and green. As usual we were amazed at how creative the students were in finding imaginative ways to embrace their inner Italian!
Lots of fun was had by all when we played the traditional Italian game of bocce. Italian culture was explored as we looked at traditional Italian theatre and art. We did some 'armchair travelling' when we focussed on the beautiful city of Venice. We finished the day with Italian gelato -- a well established ACPS tradition. After such a day of activities we relaxed by watching the movie 'Luca'. What a great day!
