Foundation (Prep)

This week we integrated some of our Inquiry topic with Writer's Workshop. After further discussion about recycling, the Prep students wrote about their understanding of what our bins are used for. We enjoyed some cut and paste and created our own green bins to support our writing.  We also focused on writing the letter Gg correctly during handwriting lessons.

In Maths, we have continued our work with addition and completed some assessment tasks. We have also started practising how to distinguish which are addition and which are subtraction problems, by looking at the symbols - and +.

A highlight this week was Italian Day. The students had so much fun with their specialist teachers, looked great in their costumes and many of us thought the gelato was yummy!

Prep C students would like to thank their pre-service teacher, Glenys, for helping make lovely poppies for our Remembrance Day service.

The students will be ready for a rest after their first full week back at school after remote learning. We hope you enjoy the weekend.
