Netball Reports Week 1

Gray St U13’s

For the first week of school netball our team, The Gray St U/13’s, played the Good Shepherd Sapphires. They were a strong team and their players worked well together but in the end we came out on top. Everyone played extremely well with it being our first game but Marli was our top scorer shooting 10, and Georgia with 4! The final score was 10 – 14 our way!!! This week we play against the Dunkeld Rams and we hope to play as well as we did last game and score another win.

A big thanks to Jacqui for coaching our first game, we really appreciate it!

By Marli Blohm, Maddox Ryan and Georgia Taylor.

Gray St U/11 Blue

Our team is Gray Street blue and we played North Hamilton Firebirds. Here are the scores:

Gray Street blue 16 Def North Hamilton Firebirds 8

Our team had a couple of new people so we had to share the bibs around and look after some of them if they looked lost.

Chloe Stewart and Evie Grinham shot lots of goals and so did I.

Our coach (my mum) was very impressed with Willow Boughton in GK and Zara Bergmark in WD it was their first game of netball and they did so well!

Our next game we play we verse Gray Street Maroon.

Gray St U/11 Maroon

On Saturday Gray St Maroon played against The Emeralds, the final scores were 38 to 1.

The Emeralds got the ball up their end a couple times but when it came up their end our GK got it out of their hands.

Gray St Maroon scored most of the goals we ended up with 38 and they got 1.

We both played really well, in the first quarter it was a challenge but in the second quarter we were beating them.

Gray St Maroon play against Gray St blue next week.
