Dance

As we come to the end of the year we celebrate all that was achieved with all students and classes above all we faced. The students have been diligent, committed, consistent, focussed and determined to finish this year off on a high note despite all the lockdowns and restrictions along the way. Everyone looked forward to Christmas Carol rehearsals in the studio and they were so much fun, with all classes doing an amazing job and working well together to do their best performance. Everyone really stepped it up another level this year with great ideas and concepts that we incorporated into their routine. Students were keen to finish putting it all together to represent their classroom and family’s up on stage loudly and proudly! They all have done an amazing job and the energy in each class has been positive, uplifting and a great way to kick off the festive season! The Victorian State School Spectacular dancers have been itching with excitement and anticipation to film their compilation video performance and have done so with in fine form! They worked very hard as we recorded the routines in various locations around the school before editing and compiling the video together. This also gave them a brief insight into the time, effort and energy that goes into making a music video and how time consuming and intense the process can be. I was so proud of them all as they worked amazingly as a team backing each other up on many occasions, while still focussed and in pursuit of achieving their final goal and end result. They wore their VSSS Hub rehearsal t-shirts which looked so professional and pulled so much focus at the combined school rehearsals, prompting other schools to follow along also. Congratulations on a great end to our first VSSS journey dancers, you represented yourselves, your family’s and Saltwater College above expectations and we are so proud! The Year Six graduation performance was a great highlight and all students performing definitely stepped it up and set the bar high for future performances in years to come. The journey was a challenging one at times but the students stayed focussed and were determined as they persevered through any changes made and delivered an amazing performance. The routine covered so many elements that we’ve covered throughout the year as well as a positive message to finish on. Congratulations to all Year Sx students  and we wish you the absolute best for the journey ahead!
