Student Learning

Grade 3
In Grade 3 we are exploring and learning about Dreamtime. We are learning about the stories and culture of First Nations people today. This is how indigenous people in the past can relate the story of events of those early times.
We are writing and creating some Dreaming stories in our classes at school and hope to share some with you soon.

Grade 5/6
We read ‘My Country’ by Dorothea Mckeller, analysed the way that it was constructed and then recreated it using our own experiences of Australia. A lot of the kids used the work we’ve been doing in Environments & Sustainability as their influence and others used recent experiences in lockdown as their inspiration.
