Principal's Report
WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!
It has been amazing to have all students and all staff back at school this week. There has been a wonderful buzz around the school and the sounds of happy students settling back in with their friends has been making all the staff smile.
POSITIVE EDUCATION DAY
On Thursday, Milgate students ‘coloured their threads for PosEd’. The students wore bright clothing and participated in many different wellbeing activities based on the PERMAH model. Classes shared gratitudes, performed acts of kindness, did yoga, reflected on their strengths and how they’re used, participated in team and relationship building activities, and learnt about emotional literacy. It was great to see all of our students participating in so many great wellbeing activities.
SCHOOL CROSSING SAFETY
Road safety is very important especially when walking and driving near a school. To ensure everyone’s safety please use the dedicated school crossings to cross the roads. The council have currently placed plants in the middle of the embankment on the road outside of the Manuka Building to avoid parents and students from using it as a crossing. Please see the photos below to familiarise yourself and your children of where you can cross the roads safely at school. We appreciate everyone's assistance in keeping the students safe.
