New Buildings Update

The architects have made excellent progress developing our new buildings. We expect to provide an update to the school council this term. The next stage will be to provide the school community an opportunity to view the proposed buildings upgrade for Newlands.

School Dental Program

Permission forms for you to access this program for your child will be sent home next week. Please return these forms by Friday 28th May if you wish to use this service. The school dental van will be onsite during the last two weeks of this term.

Disabled Car Park

Please ensure that you only use this space if you have the relevant permit. 

This space is there to support our community members with a disability. It is not be used for drop offs or pick-ups at anytime by those without relevant permits.

Out of School Hours Update

Recently I have emails from families concerned that we not enough places for families to access. I have had discussions with Rhonda [coordinator] to expand further the number of places available for families to access. These extra places will be as of next week to families who require places. in either the morning  We hope this provision of extra places meets our families needs.

Curriculum Day - Care Service @ School

This coming curriculum [pupil free] day we will be providing care for those families who need the service on that day. More information will be made available on Monday 17th May. We will provide both Before school and after school care as well as providing care during the day 9.00 - 3.30 pm. So that we can provide care to those who need it, we will only provid access to those families whose work commitments and no other form of care is available.

DRESS Up for IDAHOBIT

Dress up in your colourful self to show your colourful soul for IDAHOBIT on Monday 17th May.

We are asking families to donate a Gold Coin on the day, these coins will be collected by your child's classroom teacher: Donations will be given to IDAHOBIT for them to support the programs they are running. 

Eid al-Fitr

Eid al-Fitr, also known as just Eid, is a Muslim holiday which marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting.  

We hope that all families celebrating Eid have had a fantastic time with their families and friends. One of our families have shared the photos below to show how they are celebrating.
