News from the General Office

Vermont Secondary College

It's almost tax time again!

Both our Vermont Secondary College Building Fund and Vermont Secondary College Library Fund are Tax-Deductible funds.

The Vermont Secondary College Community is incredibly proud of the quality of the facilities that we are able to provide.  In recent years this has included the Senior Science Wing and the new C wing.    Planning is now underway for our new Sports Precinct.   We are very happy with the recent government announcement in the State budget of $6.5 million towards this.

However, the college will now need to make a significant contribution to the project to turn our vision into reality.  Your valued donations will assist with this.

The provision of these facilities has been made possible by the support of our community through the Vermont Secondary College Building Fund established by the College Council more than 20 years ago, the purpose of the Vermont Secondary College Building Fund is to significantly add to the basic infrastructure provided by government funding. The Fund enables members of the school community to invest in the school’s building projects so it can continue to provide excellent learning facilities.

The Vermont Secondary Building Fund is a tax-deductible fund and parents, alumni and community members can donate throughout the year.

Thank you to all donors for their past contributions. We welcome enquiries to our Reception on 8872 6300 for more details on how you can donate to Vermont Secondary College.

Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund (CSEF)

Urgent!! Do you have a Health Care Card?

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school excursion/incursion, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card/ health care card (not a Medicare Card) or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families.

The annual CSEF amount per student is $225 for secondary students.  The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities.

New applicants should contact the general office to obtain a CSEF application form or download one from the link below. Also, if there has been any changed family circumstances such as; change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year; please contact the General Office
