Foundation News

Remote Learning:

Foundation  have been absolute remote learning superstars this week! The resilience that each student has shown in adapting to home learning is outstanding. It has been great to see every single Foundation student online and trying their best each morning.

Numeracy:

Over the past couple of weeks we have been learning what it means to add two groups together to find a total. We have been identifying the bigger group in a number problem to then count on with the smaller group.

We have been using a lot of blocks and counters to practice making the different addition problems to then find the total. It has been great to see each student challenging themselves and beginning to count on rather than counting all.

Mrs H:

We were lucky enough to have Mrs H, our student teacher, working with us for the first half of term. Foundation were very welcoming and supportive as Mrs H continued to learn in our classroom. As a parting gift, Mrs H gave each student their own Julia Donaldson book to keep and enjoy. We wish Mrs H the best of luck with the rest of her teaching degree, and we will hopefully see her when we get to visit the zoo.
