Year 6 - 7 Transition
OPEN NIGHTS
Many of our local Secondary schools have commenced their open night presentations for
students entering year 7 in 2024. I strongly encourage parents to attend these evenings to gain a sense of ‘what is ahead’ for your children as they enter secondary school.

Additionally, below is a simplified timeline of secondary school enrolment timeline information:
| Term 2, Week 1 | ARPS distributes Placement information packs to Parents/Carers |
| Friday 12th May | Parent/Carers return application for Year 7 placement 2024 forms to ARPS by this date (no later). |
| Wednesday 19th July | ARPS notify parents/carers of Year 6 students, in writing, of Year 7 secondary school placement offer for 2024 |
| Friday 28th July | Closing date for parents/carers to lodge a written non-placement appeal to their preferred secondary school |
| Tuesday 12th December 2023 | Secondary Schools Host Orientation Day for all Year 6 students. |
