AP News

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our staff have been working conscientiously and enthusiastically to support student achievement in writing by planning engaging writing workshops with clearly defined Learning Intentions and differentiated Success Criteria.

This has been evident during our whole school Big Write, where the purchasing of new resources such as special lighting, humidifies in addition to the use of calming music, has supported a unique atmosphere during the Big Write to promote calm and creative writers and encourage students to reflect on their learning and how they can improve.

MaST News

Our staff have been working diligently to raise student achievement in numeracy through high-impact instruction and our continued focus on the gradual release of responsibility model to improve the learning experiences for all our students in mathematics. This has been evident in our classrooms as students actively engage in their learning and apply and analyse the concepts they have learnt. In particular, Stage One have been using our “Bee-Bots” to give directions involving turns to the left and right during their position unit of work. Bee-Bots are an excellent digital technologies resource to introduce students to coding and computational thinking.

Well done, Stage One; keep up the great work!
