Primary Community News

Foundation (Prep-Year 2)

We are back into the groove of learning in 1/2A. We have been writing all about our School Holidays, and enjoying getting back into our routine with friend. Our new story in Reading is all about Jackson School, and the different areas we play and learn. 1/2A has become experts at naming these areas, and are enjoying getting to explore different parts of the school. We have also been learning about counting different objects, and ordering them. We are excited to learn about what our students want to be when they grow up!

Lower Primary (Years 3-4)

Welcome back!

The 3/4 team has had a wonderful start to the term. To ‘Spark’ our writing cycle for the term, students participated in a shipwreck experience. Students sailed across the ocean until a big wave cape sized the ship, then they and swam to the nearest deserted island. Students explored the island and how they could meet their needs and of course, searched for buried treasure! Students found coconuts to hydrate themselves, bananas and fish to eat and a cave to seek shelter. Luckily, a passing boat came and rescued them. We had a lot of fun!

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

Upper Primary students have had a fabulous start to Term 2! Students spent the first week back reviewing Jackson School and classroom expectations, learning about ANZAC day, writing about their holidays, collecting data and other fun activities. Students have also been discussing and preparing for the upcoming camp in Week 2.
