What an exciting first day to the term. It was a staff members birthday during the holidays and Kindy took the opportunity to use this to enhance their Maths learning. The students and Miss Pilgrim decided to make scones for the staff member to celebrate. Miss Pilgrim is teaching ordinal numbers (first, second, third) and so as they were making the scones she was talking to the students saying; What do we need to do first? What is the second ingredient? and they were repeating the language that she was modelling.
