At the end of Term 1, we held a very successful Year 10 work experience week. The feedback has generally been very positive from students, families and employers. We have been impressed with the positive and enthusiastic attitude our students bought to their work experience and the resilience and grit they showed during their time in the workforce. It is not easy to go into a place of work, not knowing the staff, the job or the full expectations and our students were able to successfully manage these. We also appreciate the effort and energy needed by our families to ensure the week was undertaken as it is a significant disruption to the routine after a busy term. Thanks also to our staff who visited our students and VPG for securing the valuable placements. Congratulations to those students who managed to gain casual employment as a result of their efforts.

Year 12

This is a term for students to examine options for 2024 and beyond.  Students have been receiving several emails with various upcoming opportunities and many have been taking up the offers.

Students are encouraged to make appointments to see me during the week to discuss pathway options. I’m available each lunch break as well.
