YR 9

The Year 9 Student of the term, Mira Russo, is a very diligent student who always makes sure to complete her work to the best of her ability. In every class, she ensures that she participates in all class discussions and encourages her peers to learn. 

Furthermore, Mira is a dedicated class captain. When needed, she is always present to help her class members. She is very approachable and compassionate. And, always greets everyone with a heart-warming smile.

In addition to her caring nature and dedication to learning, the Year 9 Student of the term has many talents. She is an actress, singer and dancer. Specifically, she has acted in an ABC TV show named Turn Up The Music and has a lead role in the school's musical. 

Mira is also an enthusiastic member of Earth at Academy and has contributed to putting in a funding application to address the issue of fast fashion.

Overall, Mira is a kind person who is passionate about education, and is a multi talented young woman who is an inspirational role model for all, especially her peers.

With an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a tireless work ethic, Leondra has consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout the term. From insightful contributions in class discussions to great progress on assignments, she has demonstrated an exceptional grasp of the course material.  But Leondra ‘s achievements go beyond just academics. She has also been an active and engaged member of the school community, participating in extracurricular activities such as debating, and is an integral part of the Year 10 student leadership team. Her mentor teacher remarked that she is a wonderful role model, always in correct uniform, has a positive attitude, and smile on her face. She is just a delight to have in the classroom. Leondra embodies the qualities of a well-rounded Academy student, with a strong commitment to personal growth and a dedication to making a positive impact in the broader community, with her English teacher noting she displays a generosity of spirit and is a positive presence in class.

It is no surprise that Leondra has earned the respect and admiration of her peers and teachers alike. She has truly set the bar high for what it means to be a successful student, and we have no doubt that she will continue to achieve great things in the future.
