Years 7 & 8
The Year 7 Student of the Term is a very hard-working student. Prytha is attentive, respectful and contributes to class discussions. Not only does she work hard but she supports others in her class without making a fuss and is patient and kind with her fellow class mates. If Prytha completes her work, she seeks the next task rather than waiting to be told or for the class to catch up. She has made a very impressive start to term 1 at the Academy.

The Year 8 Student of the Term, Samantha Assad, has had an excellent start to the year. There was never any doubt she would step up as soon as challenges presented themselves and her hard working, generous nature became apparent very quickly. In the fundraising organizational process Samantha’s blue sky thinking, and her willingness to institute her ideas made her a driving force behind an outstandingly successful chocolate toss. Not only does she think outside the box when presented with tasks and challenges but she is also welcoming and inclusive to her peers, encouraging participation and creative solutions. Samantha’s organizational skills have been noted, allowing her to be a highly effective member of the Year 8 Leadership team and her diligent outlook regarding her education ensures she is consistently willing to volunteer. Samantha is a popular and friendly student who makes those around her feel valued, ensuring their greater and more creative productivity. She has value added to the choir, participated in volleyball and is willing to try out for a number of sports throughout her time at the Academy. A second generation Academy student she is certainly carrying on a family tradition in a humble and determined fashion.
