Parents’ Association Parent Representatives

This year the Parent’s Association are continuing with the idea of having a parent representative for each year level. The year level representative will act as a point of contact for other parents to suggest ideas and to promote events that take place throughout the year. Thank you to the following parents for volunteering for this role. Please feel free to contact them as needed. 

Year 7

Hello, I am Monique and I will be the Year 7 Parent Representative on the Parents’ Association this year.  I am a voice and music teacher from Williamstown and love all things creative. This is my first year at the Academy with a daughter in Year 7 and I am looking forward to working within and being a part of the school community for the next 6 years. Year 8

Year 9

Hi everyone. My name is Marie-Claire. I have been fortunate to be a part of the College community since 2018 when my oldest daughter started in Year 7. This is my third year of being involved in the Parents’ Association. It is a fantastic way to be involved in College discussions and interacting with other parents. Year 10

My name is Anne Adams. I have a daughter in Year 10 at the Academy, Georgia Adams. I am a teacher by day, mum by night, but wanted to be involved in the school and support the programs as a way of giving back. Year 11

My name is Nancy and I have been an active parent at the school for the past 7 years. I have helped out with the school musical and other social events and have been involved with the Parents Association since 2017. Year 12

My name is Rose Palmer, and as a Year 12 mum I am very happy to be part of the Parents’ Association, and a volunteer as the Year 12 contact.  My daughter Maddy Palmer is in 12 Purple, and it is hard to believe she is in her 6th and final year at AMI.  Over the last five years I have found that each year has brought new opportunities, along side of a range of new information and changing schedules.  We have always found the staff to be approachable, and easy to contact about a wide range of topics.  Although, sometimes is just nice to touch base with another, parent to interpret or check on any details you may have missed or are unsure about regarding your daughters year level.  If you find that is, you please contact me via email at rosepalmer@y7mail.com.

Lucy Diggerson Individual Achievement

Lucy Diggerson was named as one of 10 Victorian Opera Youth Ambassadors for 2023 (5 metropolitan, 5 regional). The program is open to Yr 11 students state-wide. In addition to successfully auditioning for the Victorian Opera Youth Choir Ensemble (VOYCE) for 2023. 

Lucy will also be undertaking her AMB Grade 8 Classical Exam later in the year.
