Reporting and PT Interviews

Reporting Update

At GNLC we use continuous reporting to report on each child’s progress. This means that you don’t have to wait until the end of a semester to get an update, but you can see your child’s results continuously throughout the school year.  As each piece of work is assessed, teachers put updates onto Schoolbox with grades and detailed feedback and comments. You can find this in Schoolbox under the tab ‘grades’.

Because this rich data is available throughout the year, the interim reports we have previously published at the end of Terms 1 and 3 will no longer be provided. However, GNLC will continue to produce an end-of-semester report, which will be published at the end of Terms 2 and 4.

We believe that the best educational outcomes are achieved when students, teachers and parents work together. Therefore, we urge you to keep aware of your child’s assessment task feedback and please be in contact with the subject teacher directly with any questions relating to these. Of course, parent-teacher interviews are also ideal opportunities to discuss your child’s progress and we thank all those who attended this week on Tuesday and look forward to seeing the rest of you next week on Wednesday 10th May.

Parent Teacher Conferences and Interviews

Interviews and conferences will continue next Wednesday night with 2000 interviews and conferences conducted by the end.

Thank you to all parents, students and staff who have been involved. We sincerely apologise for some issues with the reintroduction of the PTO booking system, but these are being addressed by our ICT and Communications Department and will be more efficient in the system rollout before we hold interviews again later in the year.

In Junior Years, Three Way Conferences will be held in student classrooms.  Middle and Senior Years Parent Teacher Interviews will be held in the Senior or Middle Years Buildings. Teacher locations are included here.
