Vacancy: Head of Ministry

Good News Lutheran College is seeking a Head of Ministry who is passionate and wants to work as part of an energetic team.

 

The Head of Ministry reports to the Principal.

 

The Head of Ministry will empower the Principal, staff and students of the College in their witness and service. 

 

The position will require the person to develop positive working relationships with the Principal, Head of Campus, Heads of Years, College Board, Coordinator of Counselling and other senior staff. Regular meetings with sub-schools and school pastoral leaders will be required.

 

The Ministry of GNLC needs to be seen as a partnership between the College and the supporting congregations. It is expected that the Head of Ministry will work with the congregational Pastors as part of this partnership. As well, the Head of Ministry will need to demonstrate an ability to relate positively with all staff, students, and parents of GNLC. It is also expected that because the position is a Spiritual Leader position, the Head of Ministry will display high levels of initiative and responsibility. The Head of Ministry is ultimately responsible to the Principal for the performance of duties related to ministry and pastoral care. The Head of Ministry shall:

  • Be an integral part of growing a culture of faith, service and commitment to Christian ideals and the College Mission.
  • Work with staff and participate in the development and implementation of the overall worship and ministry program for students, staff, and parents of the College.

Vacancy: Learning Enrichment Coordinator

The primary purpose of the Learning Enrichment Coordinator is to provide leadership and direction to enrich the learning of all students. This includes those diagnosed or assessed with learning needs that require individual and specific learning plans and programs. Enrichment also includes challenging and extending those with particular interests or talents.

The Learning Enrichment Coordinator will have an important role in delivering a ’whole’ school approach to improved Curriculum, Pedagogy and Reporting of Educational Outcomes for GNLC students through the innovation, documentation, delivery and review of Learning Enrichment Programs (P-12).

 

The Learning Enrichment Coordinator ensures that appropriate programs are implemented for students within Learning Enrichment, including students with disabilities, learning difficulties and the gifted and talented.

 

The Learning Enrichment Coordinator will manage a team of Learning Enrichment Officers (Teacher Aides) and Learning Enrichment Teachers.

  • Prior experience in a similar role

  • Have excellent relationship and communication skills

Vacancy: Psychology Teacher

We are currently seeking an energetic, collaborative and dedicated Classroom Teacher - Psychology starting from Term 3. 

The Classroom Teacher reports to the Principal of the College. They are primarily responsible for the well-being of each individual student in their care and for the delivery of the Australian Curriculum through the IB framework using contemporary models of instruction.
