Netball News

Frankston High School Netballers have wrapped up an amazing year playing Friday nights in the Frankston Netball Association competition at Jubilee Park. It's a tough competition against Toorak, Woodleigh, Flinders, Karingal, Baxter, Bonbeach, YCA and other representative teams.

Frankston High School has been represented by five teams and nearly 50 players in over 100 games this year, including four finals. The Year 9/10 Taipans made their debut in season 2 and recorded their first win in Round 5, Year 7/8 Vipers also earned their first win this season, Year 7/8 Scorpions were promoted to the First Division, where they reached the semifinal in season 2, Year 7/8 Whitetails finished in the top four every season and will be very hard to beat next year. Year 8 Redbacks finished the year on top of the ladder, only going down in a tough Grand Final.  And everyone's determined to go one better next season!

Thank you to all the parents who looked after the management of the teams and supported the players so well through three seasons and four terms. A huge thank you to Ms Libby Nichol who contributed enormously in developing the girls' skills at Semper Squad and while coaching in Season 3.

And finally, a big thanks to the girls who have consistently represented their school with skill and sportsmanship, playing well and fairly, for the fun as well as the competition. There have been some thrilling games, a lot of hard work and remarkable development. Next year looks really promising with strong Year 9/10, Year 9 ,Year 8 teams and possibly three Year 7/8 teams ready to go!

Congratulations to you all and have a great holiday.
