School Concert - Channel Surfing
Wow! What an amazing performance from all our students. Each class presented an action packed song and dance performance, complete with costumes and props. The audience were treated to a spectacular show and there were definitely some proud tears of joy among families and friends. Thanks to Mrs Julie Hudson and Mrs Kari Priest for their organisation of the concert, Mr Stephen Gross for taking on the role of commentator for the first time, Mrs Cathy Huggett for painting the backdrop, Mrs Trish Riley for filming the show (CDs will be available for sale in Term 4) and Ms Nicky Cridland for photography and program.
Well done to all staff and students on another amazing concert.
2020 School Leaders
The time to elect the new Student Leadership Team for 2020 is coming in Term 4. I encourage students from Years 5, 10 and 11 to talk through with their families/carers about serving on the Anson Street School’s Student Leadership Team. The leadership team consists of School Captains, Vice Captains, Student Leaders and Sport Captains.
The responsibilities of the leadership team include: running assemblies, thanking guests, representing the school in the community e.g. Anzac Day march/service, working with the Principal to lead the school by example.
For students to be eligible they must display responsible, respectful and safe behaviour.
Over the holidays, please discuss with your child/ward if this is something they would like to serve and be a part of and what general and personal skills they bring to the leadership team.
