Principals Message

Dear Parents,

Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the Grade night presentations. Some parents turned up to multiple meetings! If you missed out please make contact with your child’s teachers if you have any concerns or questions. Our Annual Improvement Plan was presented, a copy of which is included in this Newsletter.

Our four big focus areas for 2020 are;

Pastoral Care & Wellbeing

English

Maths

Personal Development, Health and Physical development (PDHPE)

Wellbeing is a common topic being spoken about in all the schools in our Diocese. I believe the best thing we can do for each other’s wellbeing and our own is to form healthy, supportive, happy relationships. That's the starting point for us at St Xavier’s. Developing confidence, resilience, tolerance and a voice in our children is paramount to their wellbeing. Wellbeing for the adults in our school is as important. We all need to be valued and supported and have the opportunity to laugh.

The following article is an interesting read!     The Silent Tragedy

The attentiveness of our students during the recent opening Mass was exceptional. Kindergarten students  were outstanding, the Mass being their first important visit to the Hall.

Thanks to the parents who have volunteered to help at the Swimming Carnival on Friday, we can't do it without you.

Kind regards,
