Open Girls' Touch

The Open Girls' Touch team played Bundarra in the second round of the State CHS knockout on Friday and won 6-4!

Bundarra has a history of strong success in touch and have dominated NW for approx 10 years.

The ASC side was led well by seniors Daphne Blair and Kasey Gaukroger. They controlled the middle and kept the rep players at bay for the majority of the game. Jamia Jarret, Madison Moran, Tahli Smith defended strongly throughout the game. Our crucial ties were scored by Stevie Boney (2), Jamelia Kelly (2), Patricia Dixon and Tykeisha Collins.

Furthermore, the referees commended our players on their positive conduct and sportsmanship - which was very pleasing!

The girls now go through to the third round of the competition.

Very impressive! Well done girls.

U/14s Rugby

The ASC u/14 Rugby Eagles had a fantastic game of schoolboy football against Rugby League powerhouse school, Farrer.  ASC skipped away to a 12-0 lead after ten minutes. Farrer then clicked into action and dominated the game for the rest of the half going into half-time with a lead of 12-28. The ASC Eagles u/14s dug deep and came back closing the score to 24-28 with only 10 minutes to go. Unfortunately Farrer finished stronger, winning the match 24-32 in a fantastic game of schoolboy Rugby League.
