Out and About

"The Tempest"
The Advanced English class travelled to Sydney to view the Sport for Jove production of "the Tempest", followed by a symposium with the director and cast.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the production and the symposium and found them valuable learning opportunities.
Prime Lamb Competition
A group of Agriculture students participated in the Northern Schools Prime Lamb Competition in Tamworth. What a fantastic opportunity for these students!
Felicity Bailey (Yr 7) won the Led Sheep class from a competition pool of 11 schools. Another standout achievement was Joel Forrest who judged well in the Fleece Judging. These students were among those who worked hard for days in preparing the sheep, sorting them, and preparing and training them for the event. This Competition offers students diverse hands-on learning in judging meat, fleece and led sheep and all that the preparation entails.
Good job and well done to all the students involved!
Trip to Europe
Senior students have experienced an incredible excursion to Germany and Italy. The trip started off with Berlin, Potsdam and Nuremberg where the group experienced a German Easter. In Munich they explored the old town and Hofbruhaus, Olympic stadium and Allianza Arena.
Belissimo Roma! Included in our itinerary of Italy: visits to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Basilla, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Then we travelled to the Amalfi Coast, including a visit to wonderful Sorrento and then journeyed to Pompei and Herculaneum.
Our students have been overwhelmed at their experience and are enthused and excited about continuing their global learning into their futures and many hope to enjoy plenty more travelling opportunities.
A sincere thank you to the accompanying teachers - Mrs Hardman, Mrs Croft and Mr Partridge. "Grazie" and "Danke"!
