Year 7 Orientation

It has been our great pleasure over the past few weeks to welcome our new Year 7 students to the Aquinas Library for their orientation sessions.  We took them through the basics of using a secondary school library and discussed the many services the library has to offer from Homework Club, to Craft Fridays to Book Club.  We want them to know that the library is a warm and inviting space for everyone to share.

Most importantly we talked about the many academic and leisure benefits of reading and students shared many book recommendations with their peers.  It is our hope that we will see all of our new Year 7’s frequently this year as they develop a love of reading to balance out their busy tech filled lives.
