Let's Debate
What an engaging, even exciting, first round of inter-school debating, 2019! Our valiant Year 10 and 11 teams pitted themselves against their opponents on Wednesday evening, 6th March.
Year 11
The Year 11 students, listed below, performed admirably against Melbourne Grammar School, arguing in the affirmative the following topic. They lost by only one point!
Speakers: Isabella Crosher, Julianna Neild, Kiara Katiforis (Support and team member: Lilly Huntington)
Moot: That we should allow pill testing at music festivals.
Year 10
We are proud to announce that our Year 10 students, arguing in the affirmative against Melbourne Grammar School, WON their contest!
Speakers: Lottie Smith, Tia Bunde,, Chloe Zeng (Chairperson: Chelsea Le Hunt; support and team member: Emilia Downes)
Tia Bunde was named Best Speaker of the Debate.
Moot: That police should always carry tasers, rather than guns.
