International Women's Day

Be bold, be brave, be strong, be courageous.
This was the call from our Principal, Filina Virgato, to our young women during International Women's Day celebrations last week.
We were also very fortunate to have Elaine Hannebery, Class of 1953, share with us her experience as a Presentation woman in the 1940s and 1950's. Although much has changed, the College's commitment to raising strong women has not. She challenged the girls to support and raise up all women, especially through service to their community.
Celebrations ended up on a sweet note as they enjoyed the IWD cookies made by our Year 10 Food Tech class with Ms Virgato, Ms Josie Dilettosso and Ms Sandi Saundry.
Thanks to our students and teachers (men and women) who joined in the powerful message of #balanceforbetter.
