Principal's Report

Dear Families and Friends,
This week is Catholic Education Week and I was invited to do a live radio broadcast on Live FM at the Catholic Leadership Centre to talk about Presentation College Windsor. The interview went for well over an hour and I found it very easy to discuss the many special and unique features of our school. I spoke about the benefits of being a smaller school with a strong sense of community; the MYP Program that we offer in Years 7-9; the issues girls are facing; our strong sense of social justice and the many activities we offer at the school as evidence of our genuine commitment to it.
I also spoke about some unique learning opportunities we offer like the Advanced Academic Study Tour to Singapore and how we live our Catholic faith and Mission as a school. I was also privileged to see the Visual Arts Exhibition where five of our girls had their work exhibited. They were Hailey Cameron, Alina Li, Maeve McCann, Julianna Nield and Charlotte Renfrey. Congratulations to these girls for producing some beautiful and insightful pieces of work.
Last week we celebrated Music Festival at Hamer Hall, another amazing evening where all the credit goes to the music captains and the girls for the tremendous effort it takes in putting on such a stellar performance. I am always so proud of our girls, but this event in particular because it is a living witness of the power of student voice at our College.
The girls are in complete control of every aspect of their respective performances, their ideas, their work, their effort, their joys and their celebration. Congratulations to the winning House Xavier, for their polished and professional performances. It was indeed a wonderful night for our school community.
I invite you to explore and enjoy this edition of The Lantern.
Warm regards
