Why Otis?

As the proud principal of Otis Orchards Elementary for the last 13 years, I want to share with you some of our school practices and events which help to make Otis Orchards a great place for students to attend. For each event, please know that this work is planned and often held outside of the staff workday.

  • Greetings & Goodbyes-
    • Students are greeted by at least four adults prior to school starting each day and before each specialist class with a high five, fist bump, or hug.
  • WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students)-

an initiative to provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important and to provide an extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
