Anson in Review

FutureOrange @ Orange Council Chambers

Last week, selected students from our school attended the FutureOrange forum held at Orange Council Chambers. Orange City Council invited members from the public, including students from local schools to discuss what makes our community great, as well as suggestions for what our town could look like in the future.

Anson Street School students had excellent ideas to contribute and they were well received by council members.

It was an inspiring day watching our future leaders at Anson Street contribute to our community. Congratulations Zeke, Bastian, Logan, Tom, Nathaniel and Alex for representing our school.

Teacher achievements

On Tuesday 22 February Dean White, Executive Director and Chad Bliss, Director visited our school. They were both really impressed with our students, in particular the way they introduced themselves and articulated information about themselves and the school. Dean acknowledged the work that we had done over the past couple of years since he was last here and was really interested in the Skills House and GAS (Goal Attainment Scaling) as a measure of growth and how these could be replicated in other schools.

Whilst Dean was here he presented the following achievement certificates to teachers:

Mr Moor - 30 years of service

Mr Gell - 30 years of service

Ms Evans - Proficient Teacher

Congratulations!
