James Webb Space Telescope Celebration

The students have now completed their artworks celebrating the James Webb Space Telescope. Displays have been put up around the school showcasing everyone's work.

Year 1/2: wax resist drawing painted with black dye and "space dust" (sand and glitter mix) liberally sprinkled.

Year 3/4: chalk pastel drawings of galaxies blended on black paper with little Posca pen stars in the background.

Year 5/6: Swirled acrylic paint prints made by swirling a scrunched paper towel over white paper. Crayon stars drawn in the background and painted with black dye to create depth in the background.

In the coming weeks, the students will complete a self-portrait unit centered around Aboriginal art and storytelling.
