Preston Butcher Cup

In Term 1 the Opens Girls Touch team competed in an after school competition at Jubilee Park.

The girls played Kildare Catholic College in Round 1 and lost 7-2, they then went on to defeat TRAC 11-3, and Wagga High School in the Semi Final winning 18-1.

The team progressed to the Grand final against Kildare Catholic College. They had an amazing come back in the 2nd half but were unfortunate to be defeated 10-6.

The team involved players from Year 7 through to Year 12 and they all displayed outstanding talent in the sport and a dedication to the school to commit to playing after school over four days.

Congratulations to the team for making it into the Grand final and to Mr John Preston who was supporting the girls. Also thank you to Mr Matthew Hope and Mrs Virginia Baggio for coaching and supporting the team.
