Year 7 Maths Pathways

Congratulations to the following Year 7 students who displayed the greatest growth in their learning in Mathematics. Maths Pathways defines growth as new work that the student has mastered over the last fortnight.

Additionally, there will be an information session delivered in G4 during the Years 8 to 10 Parent Teacher Evenings:

Compass

This year our College is undertaking a new student information system called Compass. It is a cloud-based program that will eventually be rolled out in all Primary and Secondary schools in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga over the next two years.

In the next few weeks we will be opening up the Parent portals and parents/carers will have access to parts of Compass. Not every area of Compass is currently set up and operating. Modules will progressively opened throughout this year and next.

Parents/carers will initially be able to view their child's attendance, providing reasons why their child is absent or late. Relevant news items, College calendar, assessment dates and documentation like past newsletters can also be viewed.

The next phase of this process will be the addition of SMS Attendance notifications. Over the coming weeks, the way we communicate with parent/carers regarding non attendance will be changing.  If a student is not present at school and a note hasn't been received, an SMS will be sent. The message will look similar to this:

The link in the message will open a web page where a note can be entered directly into the system. A reason for the absence, comment and duration for the absence will be displayed in the web page. A list of subjects that will be missed due to the absence is also displayed.

Simply enter the details, and select the  'Add Approval' button.

Please do not reply to the SMS message, it will not be received by the College.

As the College introduces each phase of Compass parents/carers will be notified either via email or newsletter.
