Today we participated in Schools Clean Up Day.
A School Clean Up is a great way to inspire students to learn about the impact of rubbish on their local environment while playing an active role in their community.
We'll have a more detailed report in the next issue of Contact. In the meantime, here's the song that some of our students have been listening to ...
At EHPS, we care about our environment and our planet. We want to promote RRR to our students and school community - Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
Throughout this year we will publish tips and achievements of what we are doing at EHPS to be more environmentally conscious and what you can do to Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
The Sustainability Captains for 2022 are: Meyli N (6CH), Robert C (6T), and Taite B (6T).
They have started the year off with great enthusiasm and passion and have already supplied and replaced paper recycle boxes in classrooms and common areas so that all of our used paper from classrooms, offices and shared areas (e.g. Hall and Stadium) can be recycled.
Did you know that recycled paper is made into new paper products such as office paper, toilet paper and tissues, paper towels and napkins, greeting cards, newspapers/magazines, boxes and other packaging items?
