Farewell Year Six

Year 6 Students

Year 6 Versus The Teachers

The Year 6 students challenged the teachers to a netball game last Friday. The students thoroughly enjoyed watching the rivalry between the teachers and students.  The teachers won despite the students fierce determination to win. Plus Dan Farmer cheated a bit :)

I recently met with our school captains and asked them for feedback on the 2021 school year.  Remarkably, they didn’t complain about the experiences of 2021 but rather described the year as being interesting, awkward because they kept moving in and out of Remote learning, learning how to be more confident both in themselves and their abilities due to the variety of skills they had developed.

The one main highlight was the week at camp, where they learned to survive without devices and also gave them time to just be kids and to strengthen their friendship with each other.

The students felt very confident with the move to secondary school and they put this down to the ongoing commitment and care that all of their teachers have shown them.

I would like to sincerely thank our 2021 school captains as they have done an amazing job with every aspect of leading our school body.  They prepared videos for our students during lockdown as a way of keeping in touch with everyone.

All of our Year 6 students who have held Leadership positions have set the bar very high for future school leaders.
