Mrs Louise Reinke
Congratulations to us all for making to the end of 2021. We have had many challenges and celebrations this year and we have all come through with flying colours. Thank you to all our families for your support as we have navigated our way through the ups and downs of yet another Covid year with restrictions placed upon us that we have found challenging and difficult, at times, to understand.
Congratulations to all our award winners for each grade this year and congratulations also to our new Student Leaders for next year. I look forward to working with you to make St Mary's great!
As we come to the close of another school year we have staff to farewell. Some are moving to other schools, some are moving on to different challenges and some we will see again next year as they return in a casual capacity.
Congratulations and a huge THANK YOU to Mrs Pauline Spilsbury, Mrs Liane Smith, Mrs Megan Gollan and Mrs Leonie Keoghan who have been long term teachers at our school and are resigning and looking forward to spending their days relaxing and enjoying time doing different things that they love. We will miss you and hope that we can drag some of you back for casual work next year.
Congratulations also go to Mr Craig Norrie, Miss Taylor Ham and Miss Claire Archibald who have taken up positions at other schools in Armidale, Tamworth and Guyra.
Thank you to all these teachers as well as Mrs Alison Sole and Mrs Joan Kelly as they leave us also.
While we say farewell to some staff, we are also welcoming new staff into our St Mary's family. Staff/grades will be as follows:
Kindergarten will be taught by Miss Jessie Simpson and Miss Shani Marshall
Year 1 - Mrs Dorothy Suluma, Mrs Emma Johnson and Miss Maddie Murtagh
Year 2 - Mrs Carrie Fittler and Miss Hayley Burton
Year 3 - Mrs Cathy Ross and Mrs Kath McMillan
Year 4 - Ms Tabitha Dowse and Miss Emily Adams
Year 5 - Mr Darren Lester and Miss Natalia Mayes
Year 6 - Mrs Kelly Walters and Mr Marcel Garraud
We also welcome back Mrs Belinda Burton in her new role as Principal and Mrs Jessica Scully back in her role as Religious Education Coordinator.
Mrs Dale Cain and myself remain as Assistant Principals and Mrs Catherine Stephen stays on in the Leader of Pedagogy role.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday. We will see you all back here on 1st February 2022.
