End of Semester 2 Reports

End of Semester 2 Reports
End of Semester 2 Reports will be available on the XUNO Parent Portal by the end of Week 11. These reports reflect student learning from the start of Term 3 Week 1 to the end of Term 4 Week 9. These reports reflect the teaching and learning program according to the Staughton College Remote Learning Plan 2021. As such, a number of changes were made to the reports for this semester only.
Understanding End of Semester Reports
All Year Levels: Learning Engagement and the Approaches to Learning
Every student is assessed on how often they demonstrate the behaviours of the Staughton Student Behaviour Matrix in each class. Students who Often or Always demonstrate Learning Behaviour, Learning Effort and Respectful Behaviour are providing themselves with the opportunities and tools to learn effectively.
Years 7-10: Learning Interactions and Learning Progress
For Years 7-9, English and Mathematics classes consisted of one compulsory Google Meet per week where students were explicitly taught curriculum, while all other subjects prioritised student engagement through online skill-building activities related to the regular curricular program. As such, the assessment and reporting of learning progress have only occurred in English and Mathematics.
During remote learning, Tutorial classes focused on Social & Emotional Learning and student engagement in this class was reported on the Term 4 Interim Report. Since the return to school, Tutorial classes have not run due to COVID restrictions and so will not appear in this report.
For Year 10, the regular timetable continued during remote learning, with the exception of Tutorial classes.
Learning Interactions are class tasks that your child has completed in order to demonstrate their engagement, learning progress and growth in each subject. Teachers use this evidence to adjust learning programs and target their teaching at each student’s point of need.
Learning Progress provides an indication of whether your child has demonstrated learning growth, regardless of the level from which they started.

VCAL: Learning Outcomes and Semester Results
The report will list all Learning Outcomes required for satisfactory completion of the certificate level in which your child is enrolled. These are all of the Learning Outcomes covered for the entire year. VCAL Tutorials did not run this semester, therefore there is no report for Tutorial.
VCE: Outcomes and Unit Results
The report will list both Units for the year and all Outcomes required for satisfactory completion of each Unit. If your child changed subjects mid-year, the unit results will say Not Applicable for the Unit in which they were not enrolled. VCE Tutorials did not run this semester, therefore there is no report for Tutorial.
