Melton Health Champions

Our students have been working hard with the Western Bulldogs, Worksafe Victoria, and the Melton City Council to promote covid safety to the community, and one of their latest projects was to engage with the incoming year 7's during their Orientation Day last December 7th.

During recess, they played a Trivia Game. It was great to see the kids so excited to win some Bulldogs merch. Many thanks too the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation for the beanies and face masks.

At lunch time, the kids got to join a game of Categories. We did not let a little drizzle stop the fun, and everyone was a winner!

"As one of the many students who helped with Orientation day, I would say that it was a very successful day. My Western Bulldogs Melton Health Champion peers, teachers and I worked on two activities that the year 6’s could participate in (Trivia and Categories). At the end of each activity the year 6 students received Western Bulldog beanies and masks for their participation.

Overall, it was great to see the year 6 students engage in the activities that were hosted by our peers and teachers in the WB Melton Health Champions workshop. It was good to see the hype and enthusiasm the students showed. "

"On the 7th of December was Orientation Day for year 7 of 2022 and even though it rained, it was still enjoyable and the most exciting part of the day was when we were asking questions and playing games with the year 7's and giving out the Bulldog beanies and masks."

The students also put together a song with the help of Francoistunes and the Mushroom Group. They celebrated freedom from lockdown 6.0 in Melbourne in their song, "Finally Free".
