Football

We have several students performing at a high level for their age group here at Coburg High School. It is wonderful to see students pushing themselves both physically and mentally to achieve their goals.

It’s currently round 4 in the under 19 NAB league girls competition, although Northern Knights is yet to win a game the girls squad this year is made up of young and upcoming new stars. The opportunity has been incredible, learning new skills from highly talented coaches has been an experience of a lifetime. We have been training since before Christmas, and the season will continue until early April. I’m looking forward to this week's game against Tasmanian, before our upcoming away game when we travel as a squad to Yarrawonga! Once the NAB league season has concluded, I will join the Darebin Falcons to play alongside their VFLW squad.

Moudy T (pictured above on our banner) of Year 10 has recently returned from a football trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi with the Bachar Houli Senior Academy, for an Elite Performance Camp. The Academy represented Australia at the World Expo 2022 in Dubai where they held an Auskick clinic and played a game against AFL Middle East. In their downtime the boys experienced some amazing sights such as the Grand Mosque and Emirates Palace, as well as being taken 4WD touring in the desert, and go-karting at Yas Marina Grand Prix track. A once in a lifetime experience, well done Moudy.
