Primary New Student Morning Tea

On Friday 18 February, we will be hosting a morning tea for all new students in Years 1 to 6. Children will meet Mrs. Fellowes and Mrs. Corness on Leopard Terrace to share their experiences of their first two weeks in their new school. Morning tea will be provided for the children. We look forward to hearing how they have settled in and discuss how they can become involved in their new school community.

Starting the Year Well

Arriving on time

Parents can assist by ensuring their children are at school on time every day. Significant learning time is missed when students are only a few minutes late every day. In addition, beginning the day behind can be stressful for some students as they have to catch up on learning. The day starts at 8:30 am, with students expected to be with their Pastoral Care teachers (Secondary) or Core teachers (Primary). The roll is marked, and important information about the day is shared at this time.

Pick Up and Drop Off

We understand that under some special circumstances, you do need to collect your children early for appointments. However, please note, the afternoon hours from 2:30 pm are very busy with younger students of the College being collected, and therefore we kindly ask you to be mindful of this when making these appointments.

Communication

Students must not communicate with parents from their devices during the day. If students/parents need to communicate about arrangements throughout the day, this should be completed through Student Services via email or phone. Thank you for following the Technology Guidelines Policy.
