Congratulations to the following students who make up the 2022 SRC Executive Team. Read their introductions below.

President Amy Ye
Secretary Sophie Evans
Treasurer Tijana Damico
Publicity and communications Milly Saffron

Hello, I'm Amy and I am the SRC President for this year. In my spare time, I really enjoy drinking all kinds of tea and sometimes playing games as a way to relax from schoolwork. At school, I've been actively getting involved with the leadership program in the past few years and I hope I could improve our school further during my last year of high school. As the SRC president, I hope I can make our weekly meetings more enjoyable and relaxing. I will consider everyone's opinions and try to make the best decisions. I will be looking forward to seeing everyone in our weekly SRC meetings.

Hi, my name is Sophie Evans, I am 2022's SRC Secretary. Leadership is a big opportunity to give yourself a bigger voice. Finding a team that co-operates well and creates a positive environment, was the best possible thing I could do to further my leadership skills and career paths in the future. I am definitely looking forward to the change our leaders are going to make this year and in years to come.

Hi, my name is Tijana Damico and I am part of the SRC executive team as the SRC Treasurer. I'm very passionate about being a voice for students and advocating for students. I enjoy helping at the school and having the meetings with the SRC which happen every Thursday. I also enjoy hearing everyone else's opinions on things that are important to them and discussing these through the SRC. I have been lucky enough to be one of the elected people for Snowy River Campus and that is something I'm looking forward to this year. The things I bring to the SRC are leadership skills from sports and out of school activities.

Hey everyone! I'm Milly and I am the Publicity and Communications Leader (SRC Executive Team). I am super excited to work with Amy (President), Sophie (Secretary) and Tijana (Treasurer). I really love getting involved in the Wantirna College Community and I am always open to new ideas. This year (Like Tijana) I am also attending the Snowy River Campus School for Student Leadership in Term 2. One of my main goals this year is to be the best leader to my abilities. Some hobbies of mine are, bike riding, gaming and watching the latest episode of MAFS (Married At First Sight).

What is the Wantirna College SRC?

SRC stands for the Student Representative Council, and people from all ages and year levels can join. The SRC aims to promote and enable students to involve and express their ideas about issues concerning school life and activities. It also advocates for student opinion to be represented fairly for schoolwide matters, along with providing students with a dependable cornerstone in which they can seek help from.

When does the SRC meet and can I come along?

We meet on Thursday lunchtimes in Mason House. Every student at Wantirna College is welcome to come along and be a member.
